Bloom Poetry Prompt Project Reading

May 5, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Since May, 2018, a group of Rochester-area poets have been engaged in a poetry project. Each month, Wanda Schubmehl has sent a prompt to the members of the group, and each month the members wrote poems in response. The only “rule” of the group was that the poem had to take its impetus from the prompt. Many of the poems went in completely unexpected directions!

To get a sense of the prompts, here are two:

May, 2018 – At the confluence, a stone of shame.

February, 2019 – The Office of Again.)

On May 5, at the Irondequoit Public Library (Rochester, NY) at 1pm, an end-of-project celebration reading will be held. The public is invited, and there is no charge to attend!

This project is conceived and executed by Wanda Schubmehl, in connection with Al Abanado’s Bloom! Rochester Poetry Project.
